Full name — Tashkent University of Human Sciences (abbreviated TUHS). In Uzbek — Toshkent gumanitar fanlar universiteti (TGFU); in Russian — Ташкентский университет гуманитарных наук (ТУГН); in Chinese — 塔什干人文科学大学 (人科大).
Education at the university is organized into academic and non-academic tracks. Academic education includes bachelor’s and master’s programs: the standard duration is 4 years for full-time bachelor’s programs, 5 years for part-time programs, and 2 years for master’s programs. Non-academic education includes English, Chinese, Korean, and Russian language courses, as well as various short-term courses.
The university currently offers 23 bachelor’s programs and 3 master’s programs, including primary education, pedagogy and psychology, linguistics and foreign language teaching, accounting and audit, tourism management, economic management, world economy and international economic relations, finance, information systems and technology, logistics, marketing, and others.
English, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Korean, German, Spanish, French, and other foreign languages are taught. Separate faculties of English, Chinese philology, and translation studies are planned for the future.
Building on its strengths across specialties and the growing need for skilled professionals under a market economy, the university has established cooperation with foreign higher education institutions based on respect for national and universal values, shared use of resources, complementary strengths, mutually beneficial partnership, and joint development.
Guided by the principles of peace and cooperation, openness and tolerance, and mutual learning and benefit, TGFU is deepening its cooperation with higher education institutions at home and abroad, building an educational framework for jointly training qualified professionals.
After their second year, bachelor’s students have the opportunity to continue their studies on a grant basis in China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Russia, Italy, and a number of other countries. The university partners with numerous foreign higher education institutions and sends talented students to partner universities on grants every year.

Every applicant can choose the field that interests them and receive quality education in comfortable, modern conditions, becoming an accomplished specialist in their field. The university’s administrative building is located in Tashkent, alongside campuses in Turtkul and Samarkand.
The university has established an education development fund as well as a language and culture research center. The fund’s main purpose is to encourage and materially support faculty and students, assist their research and creative work, publish textbooks and manuals, award scholarships, and organize various educational and cultural events. The university also offers preparatory courses in Chinese, Korean, English, and Russian.
Tashkent University of Human Sciences is preparing to begin construction of its Tashkent campus. The new campus is planned to include academic buildings, a library, a school and kindergarten for the university community, a stadium, dormitories for faculty and students, dining halls, and a supermarket — all aimed at creating the best working environment for faculty and the best learning environment for students.
The university community aims to raise TGFU’s international standing in the near future and place it among the world’s leading higher education institutions.
